YALLAH, YALLAH BEENAH!

Hammad’s experimental, documentary, comedy, horror, art-house, b-movie genre mash-up commissioned by The Saudi Art Council is an unofficial homage to the city of Jeddah. Hammad took his childhood memories of his hometown and created a wacky narrative and stylized visual and comic expense in the form of a genre-mash-up inspired by 90’s hip-hop, anime, skateboarder videos, infomercials, voodoo and a bunch of other crazy stuff that he holds dear to his heart. After a successful film festival circuit run, the film is now available on Netflix as part of the Saudi short film series "New Saudi Voices" Vol. 2.

SYNOPSIS

As a film and audio junkie who’s home has been converted to a dedicated shrine to cinema revels in the tales of his equipment to a documentary film crew, we find ourselves transported through a wormhole where a gang of pre-teen kids are sent on a psychedelic mission to save humanity all while under the influence of a spell put forth by a coven of witches.
